Matthew and Rebekah.

God is absolutely amazing. The story of Matthew and Rebekah is truly remarkable. Last year Rebekah started going to a bible study that was held at her God parents house. It consisted of mostly those who attended Redeemer Anglican Church. In February 2009 (soon after the bible study started) another church partnered with them and the bible study. Matthew attended that church. He then started going to the bible study. Little did both of them know what God had in store for them. They began to talk more and more at the bible study. Some time later the bible study was moved over to Rebekah's home. The group was downsized, but it was great because everyone became much closer. Rebekah began to notice and value the qualities that Matthew had. She realized that she wanted to marry someone just like him. During this time Matthew had bought a ticket to China because he wanted to live over there for a while (he had already lived there before and wanted to go back). He only bought a ticket there and no returning ticket.
All during this time Rebekah was torn and began to think that maybe he is not the guy for her because he was going to leave. After some time he began to question going to China (he felt really unsure about the whole idea. Now he realizes that the Holy Spirit was prompting him to stay home, and God's plan for him was to not go to China. Because he was unsure, he decided to stay back. Around December 2009 Rebekah went to Kansas City to see some of her family. While she was there Matthew asked Rebekah's dad for permission to date her. When Rebekah came back from Kansas City they began to date. On February 13, 2010 Matthew wanted to take Rebekah to see the sunrise from the beach. They woke up really early and headed to the beach. After watching the sun rise, they headed to Cedar Key to see the sunset. While they were on the beach watching the sun disappear behind the sea, Matthew kneeled down and proposed. Their story truly shows how amazing God and all of His works are. They are to be married on July 17, 2010. And I pray that God will continue to bless them throughout their marriage. They were so much fun to photograph. I was worried at first since this was my first time taking pictures of a couple, but they made this shoot so easy for me. I was so honored to be able take their pictures.

technology. technology. technology.

While I was in Georgia with my family we went to a store called "the paris market." They had some really unique odds and ends.
I was immediately fascinated with camera set-up they had on the basement floor. Apparently they bought all of the old cameras, lenses
and glass pictures from an older man who lives in New York. He had a huge collection and no longer had the desire to keep them.
I was lucky enough to buy one of the vintage cameras.
